Paul has worked as a consultant Paediatric Gastroenterologist in private practice at Paediatrics SA and at the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in the Gastroenterology Unit since 1999. His undergraduate medical training was undertaken at The University of Adelaide. Basic paediatric training was undertaken in Adelaide and Cheltenham (United Kingdom) before advanced training in Paediatric Gastroenterology was undertaken in Adelaide and Brisbane.
He worked as a locum Paediatric Gastroenterologist in Brisbane prior to returning to Adelaide in 1999. He regularly presents research papers at Australian and International Conferences, and is involved in training medical students, paediatric trainees and paediatric gastroenterology trainees. He is a member of the Gastroenterological Society of Australia (GESA), the European Society for Paediatric Gastroenterology Hepatology and Nutrition (ESPGHAN) and is past president of the Australasian Society of Paediatric Gastroenterology and Hepatology and Nutrition (AUSPGHAN).
He is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and is accredited to perform endoscopy and colonoscopy by the Conjoint Committee for Recognition of Training in Gatroenterological Endoscopy (CCRTGE).
Paul is happy to accept referrals from General Practitioners or Specialists for any child or adolescent up to 18 years of age with problems relating to their gastrointestinal system, liver or nutritional problems.
